I don't rewrite books to sound like mine.

A conversational memoir should still feel conversational. A specialist guide should still sound authoritative. The editing should be almost invisible, leaving readers with a smoother and more enjoyable experience without changing who wrote the book.

Proofreading is the finishing touch rather than the stage where major rewriting takes place.
